Home Buyer Tax Credit

First time home buyers will be getting an $8,000 tax credit when they buy a home in Bend Oregon.  Unlike the 2008 tax credit of $7,500 this tax credit does not have to be paid back.  The new stimulus plan give the tax payer $8,000 cash which can be spread over 2 years if necessary.  Now is a great time for first time home buyers to buy a home in Bend.

Interest rates are floating below 5.5%, prices are way down and there are many homes to choose from.  Bank foreclosures are plentiful and there are many realistic sellers willing to help the first time buyer with repairs, incentives and payment of closing costs.  There are some zero down loans available and money is easy to borrow if you have good credit and verifiable income.
