July 21, 2011-We are advising our clients to avoid Pronghorn real estate until further notice. We recommend Broken Top, Awbrey Glen and other fine golf courses in Bend.

"You have to join pronghorn for $115k and monthly dues are $990 per month. The biggest problem is the uncertainty of the club itself. An agent has a sale pending for a group of 6 lots but the builder won't close until he has some guarantees of the future of the club. One closed at $9900 with the seller crediting the buyer with $10k towards membership. Basically gave the lot away."

That's a $2,000,000 price reduction!There are some really good buys available in Pronghorn and other Bend Oregon golf communities right now. Bank foreclosure and short sales are driving prices down.
In my opinion we are seeing the bottom of the real estate market and now is the time to buy. Interest rates are still low and there are some great bargains still available.
