The Bend Oregon real estate market should bottom out in 2009.   Gas prices are falling to record lows for the past several years. Interest rates are at all time lows for the past decade and building permits in Bend are also at record lows for the past decade.  There is a good choice of bank owned properties and well priced owner properties to choose from.  All of these factors should prove that now is the time to buy a home or investment property in Bend Oregon.

Bend Oregon real estate should be a long term investment.  Today's prices are back down to approximately where the prices were at the end of 2004 according to the Bend Oregon MLS.  That was before the huge run up in prices occurred.   The number of homes selling nation wide is starting to increase which will be sending more buyers to Bend and Central Oregon.  Bend is still the best place on earth to live!

I moved to Bend in the recession of the early 80s.  Those people with enough foresight that bought a home or investment properties in Bend during that time made hundreds of thousands of dollars.  Some made millions when they bought bank owned subdivisions.  Between now and the summer of 2009 is the time to buy real estate in Bend Oregon.  Bend is a great place to raise a family or to retire.
